It follows three very different families who compete to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they believe will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano starred in the Ice Age series (2002-present). I was surprised to see such a low rating for the series, but it made more sense after seeing many reviews explaining why they didn’t make it past the first episode. The series is a mystery, slow-burn entertainment that may not appeal to everyone. Personally, I found it too funny and entertaining, with a Liz Feldman-esque tone that I like. I really love the cast and everyone’s performances. I was initially hesitant about Ray Romano due to my own biases (for the life of me, I couldn’t separate him from Everyone Loves Raymond), but that quickly wore off. All the different characters have their own side stories that create a tangled web of chaos that gradually, if not completely, unravels. By the final episode, I was already pretty invested in the story, despite figuring out the main twist very early on. I’m not mad about that, though. I’d like to see more of this show, and I really hope they get a second season.
