I am sure this film was made with great care and love, BUT what it lacked most in my opinion was Breathing. Opera singers learn to control their breath in order to captivate us. And I agree with other less favorable reviews that the opening scene was definitely a bad example of lip-syncing, especially since I didn’t see Ms. Jolie breathe! Of course, La Callas lived a glamorous life, but it seemed to me that the focus was more on the visuals of this film. This is a film that made me stop watching it all the way through, and I apologize for that. I also had high hopes for these two iconic ladies..
