A continuation of the story of the settling of the American West. It follows the adventures of the characters first introduced in Horizon: An American Saga. The film was originally set to be released on August 16, 2024. However, following the commercial failure of Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1 (2024), the new Line Cinema company removed the sequel’s original release date, postponing it indefinitely. Chapter 2 premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 7, 2024, with an uncertain theatrical release. It is followed by Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1 (2024). I enjoyed this from start to finish. I can’t believe the bad reviews and ratings. I am a huge fan of westerns, and this film is of high quality from start to finish. It is important to remember that this is part of a longer story, Part 1 is there to introduce the main characters. Those three hours flew by and now I really want to see Episode 2 ASAP. I sincerely hope that all episodes will be filmed and released because I think people will consider the whole play a masterpiece. Great cinematography, great acting, brutal scenes that are certainly realistic. I give it a 9, if not a 10 because the story is not as fluid as it could be at times. But I liked it.
