Hippo explores the coming of age of two half-siblings: Hippo, a teenager addicted to video games, and Boglárka, a Hungarian Catholic immigrant who loves classical music and Jesus. Like the ancient Greek Aphrodite, Boglárka’s love is not reciprocated by her brother, who prefers to indulge in the art of war and chaos. The result is a hormone-fueled, tragicomic nightmare that has to be seen to be believed.
