In THE GUTTER, when frequently fired Walt (Shameik Moore) lands a job tending the bar and shoe-throwing at his local AlleyCatz bowling alley, he feels like he’s finally found a home. When money troubles threaten AlleyCatz, Walt is pressured by former pro bowler and current drinking champion Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) to embrace his role as the greatest bowler ever created. While Walt’s love of big checks and his upfront style of play dominate the professional tour, his detractors, including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angelo Powers and newly retired bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon), furiously try to snuff out Walt’s flame before it burns too brightly.
