After being released from prison after 25 years, New York Mafia boss Dwight “The General” Manfredi is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sylvester Stallone’s first starring role in a television series.

The opening credits sequence shows various photographic and painted views, as well as Oklahoma landmarks superimposed on the New York City skyline: Statue of Sioux Indian Chief “Touch the Clouds” wearing a war ring with a cap and a bone necklace (pectoral) placed atop the Golden Statue on the Brooklyn Bridge. Drills superimposed on the Statue of Liberty The Western Gateway arch of Route 66 superimposed on Manhattan’s main avenue.

In the New York City borough of Manhattan, there are several numbered “avenues” that are intersected by smaller numbered streets. Sylvester Stallone’s rocky, traditional, and tough acting style fits this series perfectly.
Also, playing a guy his age and style definitely helps him fit in perfectly
From the voiceover to the drive through Tulsa, he just shows that this role is perfect for him. As for the series, the build-up to the action in the first two episodes was great and moved along pretty quickly.
It will be interesting to see how good and big of a twist they cook up in the season finale
In the meantime, if you’re a Sly fan, you definitely need to give this series a try, even if you’re not, I still recommend it for gangster series.
