This is cinema at its best

(2024). I found "Vermiglio" a very beautiful, unusual and yet extremely relevant film. The acting is excellent and the narrative is very well constructed, very moving and superbly directed.

I found the language extremely beautiful and the photography simply stunning

This is one of the best films I have seen in recent years. The family story is very plausible, and the references to the social reality of Trentino during and after the Great War seem truthful and deserve to be seen as an experiment in social analysis. The respect with which the religious dimension is treated deserves my highest praise.

As a non-Italian, I am now ready to visit the real Vermiglio and once there to reflect on the effects of this wonderful film

In other words, in addition to being poetic and truly beautiful, «Vermiglio» takes us back to a world that is about to disappear in Europe. It deserves to be seen by anyone who loves real cinema, who seeks to understand the human condition and, most importantly, does not give up on the aesthetic dimension of life in today’s world. The music is excellent, and the sound of «Miserere» sounded in a moment of deep sadness in the family was deeply moving for me.
