After years in New York, 14-year-old Sarath returns to the Amazon rainforest to save her childhood village and her beloved jaguar friend. A spiritual remake of Gilles de Maistre’s previous film Mia i bijeli lav (2018). Not much happens to the parents. The plot is predictable and the moral of the story is force-fed, but I have to be honest: it was a lot of fun to watch with our 6-year-old daughter. This film has all the pitfalls of a family movie: overacting by the adults, overly clever child roles, thin plot, easily survivable deadly situations, etc. But the main character is well-acted. The role of the kitschy teacher is unconvincing (what is she doing in that forest?), but she is still well-filled. If you like jungle shots with waterfalls, you won’t be disappointed.
