When a sinister threat from his childhood comes back to haunt him, a father desperately battles his deepest inner fear. Only this time the fight isn’t for himself; this is for his family. This is the first PG-13 horror film to feature the “Lionsgate Red Gears” logo since Скринька правлеття (2012).. Patrick McKee: Ever since we got back, I’ve been saving these white jokes about Jake’s kidnapping. Take it away, bagman – that’s another summary title I could have used, perhaps even more fitting for my no-pun intended tagline! But that aside, the horror film may have quite a few weaknesses (I’ll get into some of them), but it also has some pretty good sound design! Some may call what’s going on a jump scare (and that’s not entirely untrue), but it’s more than that. The acting is okay, maybe even decent. The story and the mistakes or rather the logic problems… are pretty big! On the other hand, there is a little twist towards the end of the movie: you can do a lot more unimaginable things… let alone think about certain previous scenes… but don’t try to question the characters’ motives and/or actions. Anyway, it’s a horror movie, so characters do something you don’t agree with… in the end we have to move on (whether we like it or not, and yes, it’s a pun).
